DAILY UPGRADES
This book is a tribute to the human spirit's tenacity and the transformational potential of self-discovery, not just a tale of surviving a stroke. It's a journey from the crippling gloom of an unexpected, life-altering incident to the hard-won light of rekindled strength and purpose. A determined embrace of self-discipline and a deeper battle against the sneaky foe of procrastination swiftly replaced what had started as a physical recovery battle.
You'll find in these pages not only a detailed account of my physical rehabilitation, including the exhausting therapies, the agonizing steps to regain mobility, the frustrating setbacks, and the thrilling moments of progress, but also an honest and unvarnished account of the internal struggles I faced. I'll talk about the emotional upheaval, the depressing times, and the small triumphs that resulted from facing my own limitations and embracing the strength of self-belief.
This narrative teaches us to say "yes" to the obstacles life presents and "no" to the self-defeating behaviours that prevent us from moving forward. It is a study of how developing self-discipline via deliberate effort and unwavering resolve can help us not only overcome physical hardship but also discover a greater sense of inner peace and purpose. It's a path of change, and I hope that by sharing my experiences, I can encourage others to follow their own path towards resilience and living life to the fullest, no matter what challenges they may encounter. This is my story, and it's a hopeful one.
Most of us (or maybe all of us) have no idea where we'll be when we grow up and have our own family eventually. Just like me... Going abroad was never in my mind during my childhood, student life, or even as I started my career. It was only when my wife was pregnant with my second child that I gave going abroad a great deal of thought. The salary for every month that I had become a deficit was my turning point in going abroad. So, going abroad for me was once a tiny tweak that has become a bigger picture. The learnings and experiences I would gain abroad were just secondary or minor parts of my going abroad. Finance was my major point in going abroad. So, I went abroad with that focus.
Do you also have experience abroad? What was your motivation for going abroad? Or, if not yet, do you have a plan to go abroad?
I made this available for free so that many people would be knowledgeable about OFW life, especially abroad, and also my stroke journey and survival, as well as success advice. and self-help.
